Yael Gitai was born in Finland and raised in Berlin by a family of Finnish and Israeli origins. Her mother was a Fashion Designer and her father a Filmaker, as a result Yael has been strongly influenced by film and fashion from an early age. Her youth was spent watching her mother design beautiful knitwear collections and living in a dreamworld of movies. She was particularly inspired by artists who lived and worked in New York, which to this day has remained the city of her dreams and led her to move to America where she began to study Graphic Design and Photography, eventually pursuing a career in Fashion Styling. Yael's unique astethic instinct and keen knowledge of fashion history, modern design and color brings visual focus to every project. She is well respected for her visionary eye and great sense of style. Yael travels between Europe and New York, where she lives.
